3rd Annual Mountain West
Biomedical Engineering Conference
September 21-22, 2007
Volunteer Info
The Job
The conference is organized and run by student volunteers, and we would like your help. Jobs include working the registration table, monitoring platform and poster sessions, and helping out at some of the special events. Total time commitment may vary, but each volunteer shift is typically 3-4 hours.
Benefits
Volunteers may expect to receive a partial or full waiver of their registration fee in return for their services, but volunteerism is not intended as a means by which regular attendees can avoid the registration fee. Most of the student volunteers come from the hosting institutions, and volunteers are generally not presenters at the meeting. Volunteering is an opportunity for students who are not presenting to experience the conference. Any student may apply to serve as a volunteer, but preference will be given to students in the aforementioned category.
