Two New Tenure Track Lines Added to the Department

This year, we are delighted to welcome to the department Jessica Kramer, Ph.D., from Stanford University, who is working on cell-surface engineering. We also welcome Lucas H. Timmins, Ph.D. from Emory University in Atlanta, who uses computational and experimental approaches to study the biomechanics of cardiovascular disease.

Bioengineering Professors Receive New Funding

Our faculty members are winning awards as well. Two examples: Assistant professor Tara L. Deans was awarded both an NSF CAREER Award and the Office of Naval Research’s 2016 Young Investigator Award totaling more than $1 million. Meanwhile, professor Greg Clark has received awards from the NSF and DARPA totaling $5 million.
