Biomedical Engineering’s Associate Professor, Dr. Jessica Kramer, has accepted an Associate Editor position at the American Chemical Society (ACS) journal Biomacromolecules effective January 1st.
Non-profit ACS is the world’s largest organization dedicated to “enriching and educating lives through chemistry” with over 200,000 members, and one of the world’s largest scientific publishers, managing over 80 chemically related journals. Their website claims Biomacromolecules to be “the leading forum for the dissemination of cutting-edge research at the interface of polymer science and biology” (ACS Publications) with a current impact factor of 6.2. Biomacromolecules features peer-reviewed and professionally edited articles containing innovative macromolecular concepts such as polymers in biocatalysts, bioactive polymer surfaces, natural and renewable polymers, and more.
Kramer is pleased to have been offered this opportunity and looks forward to contributing to the journal’s influence in the scientific community. Kramer says, “I have been publishing with Biomacromolecules since my graduate school days and am delighted to participate in the process of shaping the journal and sharing top-quality science with the community.”
